We replaced it with another story that Jeremy Whitley wanted to tell, simple as that.
The comments on this are disappointing.
Apparently: gay romance > interracial romance.
As a gay woman of color I’d love a poc sex same or non-binary couple naturally. But interracial relations do a lot more respect and representation for me than most gay representation; because most queer representation is nothing but cis abled-bodied white people.
I’ll take representation of marginalized people over gay romance any day.
Also: different sex couple =/= heterosexuals
Misty and Danny could be bi, pan, non-binary, polyamorous, or any combination of those. But I guess that’s not gold star status enough for some people.
Amerikate is also an interracial relationship, it’s just one that happens to be between two women.
